We had heard about this cedar grove so decided to investigate. We were overwhelmed when we got there. The park is definitely off the beaten path but worth the effort. The signage and short walking loop facilitate your visit.

We enjoyed our walk through the Ross Creek Cedar Grove on a cool brisk morning. Saw one deer and lots of amazing trees.

What a wonderful hike through these majestic trees that are hundreds of years old. They are the largest trees you will ever see outside of the California redwoods. Easy hiking on almost flat land. Take your time and just walk through this beautiful forest. Be ready to spend some time here.

Despite the rain and early morning chill, our walk through the beautiful cedar forest was extremely enjoyable, both for us and for our Husky, who felt it necessary to thoroughly smell every tree around. The trail is relatively short, but very flat and soft surfaced (a nice treat in the rockies). This would be a great place to take the... More

My dream is to see the redwood/sequoia forests in California. While planning this trip to Montana, I found this cedar grove and knew I had to see it. It did not disappoint! It was a super easy short hike around a loop (it can get a little confusing though, so pay attention) that went through these amazing huge old trees.... More

Easy nature hike with beautiful sights! Flat but rugged terrain. Loved the huge trees that you can literally stand inside!

Took 4 kids from Montana to Silverwood. Stopped here as a mid way point. Great hike to get into nature and have the kids stretch their legs. Would highly recommend to anyone.
