Montana's popular ski area features the "Paradise," a three-mile long scenic trail, and the "Grizzly," which drops skiers 2,000 vertical feet through steep terrain. Beginners will find slim pickings, but the pros will have a blast with the numerous offerings at this 950-acre skiers' haven.

My last choice to ski in the Missoula area. Drive to Lookout, Lost Trail, or Discovery before going here. Born and raised here and watched all of these resorts update their facilities, add lifts, add new features like terrain parks etc., while snowbowl had only increased their lift ticket prices. Too bad we don't have Marshal Mountain anymore or that... More

This Mountain can be intimidating to a beginner skier, especially during a snowstorm, as the signage on the mountain is a bit scarce to know what run you are going on. As you get familiar with the mountain though, it really opens up and is a lot of fun to ski. Can be super challenging depending on the day. The... More

Very small and endearing atmosphere with big skiing. There are some incredibly long runs and a variety of terrain for everyone. This place has some of the best tree skiing I have ever experienced. I go out of my way to ski here when I pass thru. I only experienced one downer ever and it really wasn't that big of... More

This is a great location for skiing and snowboarding. The staff are courteous and helpful. The equipment is good. The small cafeteria in the lodge is good as well (very casual staff but pleasant). On the slopes though the signage is really not that good at all. Could use some "serious" improvement. I would recommend this location to anyone in... More

This local ski resort is great for those looking for some good, challenging runs, for reasonable lift ticket prices. They do not have many groomed runs, so beginners and intermediate skiers may not like it. The lifts are old, slow, fixed 2 man chairs- no high speed quads. For more advanced skiers there are some good sustained bowl runs, trees... More

My husband, daughter and son-in-law enjoyed skiing here during the holidays. The day after Christmas was crazy busy, but even then, they had many good runs. Usually it's a quiet, lazy ski hill, but being only 30 minutes from Missoula, it's great for a quick day in the mountains.

We love the bowl. A lot of folks call it the little Jackson Hole. Plenty of challenging terrain. This is a mom and pop, old west style hill. Whiners should go somewhere else. Put your big boy (or girl) pants on and get ready to ski. The lifts are slow, grooming and snow making aren't always what we'd like. That... More

The summer time trip up to snowbowl was great! Cool mountain road to get up there, chairlift was relaxing and beautiful! A Huckleberry vodka lemonade on the deck at the bar was delightful. Great place to visit. You can walk down, chairlift down, or rent mountain bikes down.... also a zipline option is offered.

My husband and I enjoyed a day at Snowbowl this past winter. My biggest negative complaint was the lack of trail signage. The runs were fairly decent, but you almost never knew what trails you were on. Towards the end we found ourselves on a black diamond, which wasn't ideal! We made it down safe but lets say I don't...
