Experience old time soda shop surroundings and and cool treat or just stop in for a variety of old fashion candies to snack on during your trip through the gulch! The huckleberry and orange freeze was pure delight and cools down the warmest day!

I'm a local but had quit going to The Parrot after the original owner died and his family sold the business. It all went downhill from there with corners cut and an attitude of "take it or leave it". The new owner who just recently...More

This time of year they make "potatoes", marzipan rolled in fine cinnamon to create a realistic looking potato. They are absolutely delicious. All the other things were as well.

Went to visit for the candy, stayed for lunch. Had their tamale with chili. Best chili I have ever had, but did not resemble what you normally think of chili; no beans, smoother texture, and tamales to die for. I wish they would share their...More

kdeniker, I actually had their tamales with chili, so they do, in fact, serve them. They sell more than ice cream. You left out the part about the homemade chocolates and other candy. Their chili is delicious.
