We were advised we would see all kinds of wildlife. Unfortunately, we saw no wildlife except a squirrel. We had four of those in our backyard all winter in Ohio. It was a disappointing experience.

This national forest, not unlike many others in the west, has lots of dead trees scattered about. Just waiting for the next lightning strike to start an inferno. The forest is desperate need of active forest management to thin out the trees.

A beautiful designated area with many access points to the water. Even just to drive through its truly spectacular. Montana is really beautiful. Pics are of a water/fishing access point called Russell Gates and beautiful primitive camping is also available here.

Driving through the national forest is beautiful and there is a lot of wildlife to see. Deer, birds and more, seem unafraid to be near the road. The overlook locations provide great picture opportunities. I didn't see as many option or services as at some...More
