This place is terrific. The grounds are beautiful and the outbuildings interesting. The house is fascinating. And the story behind it even more so. We had an excellent guide (Lois?) who gave us an extra long tour because of all of our questions. Great weekend destination for people in Montana

If you enjoy history or old architecture you will love this place. A beautiful example of 1900's craftsmanship and this tour gives you a glimpse into the daily lives of the wealthy of the time. They have also regained much of the lost furniture restoring each rooms to its former glory. The tour guide was very informative and I enjoyed... More

The grounds and house are stunning. Tours are $8 for seniors, $9 for adults. Kids cheaper but I didn't note that price. Worth every penny. Rhames about 90 minutes Be sure to tour the grounds on your own.

Lovely house and location. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the mansion and the local area. Well worth entrance fee!

We did a tour of the house (which was last remodelled in 1910) and it was fascinating to see how a rich family lived then and find out about the Daly family too. The house sits in beautiful grounds in the Bitterroot Valley which are also worth walking around. Tours run on the hour 10 - 3pm for $9pp (each... More

We'd never heard of Marcus Daly or his wife and were absolutely delighted with our visit to the mansion. Set in the gorgeous Bitterroot Valley, the Mansion is elegant and a testimony to the locals' desire to maintain their history and heritage. It sat abandoned and boarded up for over 40 years (1941-1984) and a local group decided to mount... More

This is a must see Montana treasure that reminds one of a southern plantation with its long treed driveway! Hopefully, you will get a guide volunteer that knows more than "this is water damage" "not sure what this is" "can't remember this person's name" "oh my, I am lost again". These statements happened in almost every room for 1 hour... More
