First off, the suspension bridge and island closed as of Labor Day, so no access to a better view of the waterfall and can only be viewed from the parking area. I would like to rate this location higher, but because of the short season...More

This is a must see for visitors. The hanging bridge is my favorite. We spend about 30 minutes there and absolutely love the treat for the eyes.

This was an interesting area. Besure to walk across the swinging bridge out onto the island and hike the whole island. Pack a picnic lunch. Great day.

A bit of a drive compared to the dams right in Great Falls, but the best of the bunch. A walking bride takes you to the Island Park (seasonal) below the dam. The historic "electric kitchen" demonstration building is interesting. Great views.

My husband and I were retracing our honeymoon from 25 years ago. We found the falls just as beautiful this time as last! I feel it is well worth the 20 minute drive out of Great Falls to see the great falls!

Scenic spot. The little island is a great picnic area as well as a vantage point. The entire little park is lovely. Worth a stop.

Liked the venue, the hydro plant, and the roar of water. Glad I was not in a boat trying to go upstream. Nice walk to island and view of the falls.

The long drive over a boring stretch of two lane road to Ryan Dam and the Great Falls is probably something that does not need to be done.

This was a great stop. The area had a decent amount of rain before so water was rushing over the falls. It really is a sight to see. It is a bit from town, but well worth it.

Now that I have been there, I will answer my own question. NO! This location is not recommended for motorhomes or trucks and trailers. Shorter motorhomes would be OK as long as you do not have a trailer. This location is 12... More
