I love waterfalls but this one is top notch. After a nice little hike you just are in this beautiful little forested area that is peaceful as it is stunning.

Hiked to Aster Falls on 08/11/18. The hike was 2.4 miles round trip...trail meandered thru forests & meadows. Many colorful wildflowers were in bloom & the berries were abundant but not ripe yet. Aster Falls is a double falls that runs into a lovely pool/creek....More

The view hiking in was spectacular. Even in August the falls were beautiful. Lots of Kodak moments. Trail was well marked. Wooden bridge crossing the creek was a fantastic picture op.

The Falls are scenic and provide a nice spray on a warm summer day. Go beyond the Falls to the view point above to get great views of the surrounding mountains

Keep going beyond the falls and you'll arrive on the Aster Plateau - great views over the lake. Also, about .5 miles from the trailhead are several ponds (on the right side) - look for moose who munch around there regularly.

The trail to Aster Falls begins at the South Shore Trail-head at the end of the lot by the general store and gently winds 1.2 miles up towards the falls. There are clear directional signs at each juncture. We passed by the lake, wildflower fields,...More

It is totally dependent on your fitness level. It's 3.8 miles RT to the top and it took my husband and I (in our 70's and very active) 2 hours RT. We stopped for photos and to watch some moose in the wetlands area which are... More
