Just down the street from the Depot on the same side of Montana street. The tasting room is quite small and has the aroma of beer being brewed. Unfortunately, nothing about this place exudes cleanliness. We went 2 times over four days and found the...More

You have to squeeze into this place because it's tiny an they don't serve food but what a great place to stop for a few beers with friends. Super casual with friendly staff and reasonably priced beer. Fit it into your beer tours!

Excellent beer. Interesting post-industrial setting. Train lovers clearly own the place. One of the best breweries in Montana. And that's not faint praise. I live in MIssoula where we have 12 breweries and all of them brew good beer. If you like craft beer, styles...More

Of the many microbreweries we have in Billings, Carters is still the best. Smaller than some others with the best beer. His flagship ones are always a good go to, especially the porter, and the seasonal rotators are very pleasing.

Walked into Carters and was met by aromatic treasures - the place smells like a brewery - a really, really good brewery. It's pretty small inside and when trains pass by on the tracks just on the other side of the wall, it's quite an...More

Awesome beer in a very charming spot--the train comes by and you can go out and watch while drinking. Went to Montana Brewery after and that place was awful. This is great.

This brewery sits right on the railroad tracks. Fancy and refined, it's not. But atmosphere is fun and casual. Enjoy your beer while sitting out on the patio watching the rails for trains. A wide variety of beers on tap!

I been brewing beer for 30 years now and know what substandard beer taste like and this place is one of them. The ahi tuna sandwich was very very good
