Dickerson Park Zoo is where people and animals connect. Enjoy getting outside and enjoying the natural beauty of the area while seeing and learning about animals from Africa, Tropical Asia, South America, Australia and North America. See the reptiles at the Ambler Diversity of Life center, ride the Titus Express miniature train, get up close and personal with the giraffes on the giraffe deck (giraffe feeding an additional fee but observation deck is free) and visit the petting zoo. Cafe and gift shop also available.

Cute little zoo. Staff is friendly and the animals look happy. The exhibits are nice and clean. It's more walking than it looks since everything is kind of spread out. Prices for food and drink are a tad high, but the food is pretty decent...More

We went to this zoo on a Thursday in June. The admission fee is lower than some zoos I've visited but this zoo had more animals. It took us about two and a half hours to get through. There was a large variety of animals,...More

The zoo looks awesome in October when they have out all their decorations. I live in Joplin and we frequently drive to this zoo. Nice zoo for a nice price.

What a delightful find. We planned to spend about 2 hours at the zoo, but decided to take more time. The pathways are easy to walk, there were plenty of animals to see, the staff was excellent, and admission is inexpensive. Souvenirs are average price...More

Our family had a great time at this zoo. There were many animals to enjoy. The enclosures looked nice and the animals looked well taken care of. We loved the peacocks roaming around the zoo. Our favorite part was being able to buy special crackers...More

This is an excellent zoo for the size. All the animals appear to be clean and well taken care of. The only complaint I have is that some animals appear to have rather small enclosures. I do understand most have larger areas out of public...More

Thank you. We do do a lot with a little. To answer your question, one of the reasons we have deer is because we also are a wildlife rehabilitation center. We rehab mostly raptors, but work closely with the Missouri Department of Conservation. Some of...More

There was a group of about a dozen of us. Mostly adults and college age and two smaller children. We all enjoyed the stroll throught the zoo. One cool think is they let people feed the giraffes.

Thank you, Mark. The giraffe deck is a favorite. You also picked up on another aspect of which we are proud: having a zoo in a city the size of Springfield. Thank you for visiting and your review.

My husband and I like to travel around the country visiting different zoos, and this one didn't disappoint. It's a bit on the small side, but it's very nicely kept, and it's clear the zoo is trying to give each animal a naturalistic setting. I...More
