We really enjoyed visiting the economy museum. It's located in the Federal Reserve and you feel that right away. You must provide an ID to gain entry; not sure what would make you ineligible for entry, but I don't think I want to find out. You also have to go through a metal detector and put your personal items through... More

Didn't have a lot of time, but could easily get through it in less than an hour. Where else can you get your picture taken with a million dollar cube?

Once you get past the security check (and the serious guards), the museum staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The exhibits are well-maintained and many of them are interactive. Our whole family found something to enjoy at the museum. Bonus is getting a little bag of shredded money for free as a keepsake at the end.

I spent 2 hours reading and experiencing the Federal Reserve Museum. It was very informative. Every decision we make has an influence on the economy. Watching the video on what becomes of the money we circulate. Playing the market and selling a product for maximum return for your investors was a great experience. Great for all ages and it's free.... More

Great free museum in the heart of downtown St. Louis. Fun for all ages and a great way to learn about the economy and the products of the region. Staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked the original teller windows in the entry. Also very fun to get free shredded money souvenir. Great way to spend 1 hour in... More

Easy to find from the Metro-east, 8 y/o and almost 13 y/o nephews as well my mid-30's daughter and myself (almost 58) got really involved in the interactive finance and economy situations in the museum displays. We loved the maps at the conclusion where visitors can post where they are from. When the two boys saw that their home state... More

The St. Louis Federal Reserve put together one of the most interactive, high-tech exhibits I've been to. Inside the Economy can teach anybody about the basics of how our economy works and role of the Federal Reserve.

We didn't have any kids with us so can't comment on the interactive displays throughout the museum. Really came here for the quick (30 mins) tour, explanation of the processes, and ability to see inside the money counting room. Good place to stop for a quick tour and some interesting facts about the role of the Federal Reserve.

Visited with my 14 year old and 11 year old. Interactive exhibits allowed them to better understand the power of money and specifically the dynamics to save vs. spend. The kids were impressed with the giant glass cube filled with $1M one dollar bills! Probably spent about an hour inside. Beautiful building too!
