We saw the wonderful Catherine Russell Quartet. You can purchase tickets online or in-person. We you arrive there are hostesses waiting to take you to your table. There is also valet parking. The room is perfectly arrange so that everyone can enjoy the beautiful sounds of jazz. The chocolate bread pudding was delicious.

The newly remodeled Jazz at the Bistro offers a warm, welcoming setting to listen to and enjoy your jazz favorites. Whether you choose a table on the main floor or a seat along the balcony bar, there is a good view of the artists on the stage and their sound easily permeates the room.

We love this place. Not a bad seat. Jazz starts at 7:30 or 8:00. It is about an hour and a half long. Great to listen and eat. We usually have appetizers, but they have great main entrées and desserts. Do't miss this when in town. It is half a block from the Fox Theater with valet parking. Tickets are... More

Jazz at the Bistro provides every visitor the opportunity to experience jazz legends in a very living room like setting. You'd usually pay more and have to sit far away in a large auditorium to see the caliber of talent they bring (and at the prices of tickets). This is a great sounding venue where every seat is a short... More

We went for dinner before the St. Louis Symphony and were well pleased. There was a big show at The Fox plus the SLSO, so all Grand Ave restaurants were packed, including Jazz at the Bistro. But they did a great job of handling the rush, not sacrificing personality in service. We both had gumbo, thinking it could be served... More

This venue is AWESOME for an evening of great jazz the acoustics of the place are perfect and you feel so close to the musicians you can almost touch them. There isn't a bad seat in the house and there is also an overflow bar in case you can't get tickets you can still listen to the music next door.... More

Jazz at the Bistro is a wonderful venue for seeing jazz performances. Great acts are booked and there is not a bad seat in the house. But as a place to get dinner before the show- awful! Even arriving early the kitchen can not get food out; the wait staff is disorganized; food is brought out in the wrong sequence... More

I was thinking "Wow!" soon after we arrived when my wife leaned over and said that very word in my ear ... several times. It was fairly easy to get tickets (required) ahead of time for a Sunday night performance by an 18-piece jazz combo. Recorded music is wonderful, but there's something special about experiencing it live in a small... More

Thanks so much for the kind words! I'm glad to hear you were impressed with the place and both the Dave Dickey Big Band and the University band. I'm sorry that the food wasn't quite up to snuff. We have a menu update coming out next week, so that should change. Come on by next time you're in STL! More

We went to Jazz at the Bistro before the renovations and the change is amazing. It is so much brighter and roomier now. We have not eaten here because it seems like there is nothing on the menu that I would enjoy. Definitely not "bar" food when the pizza has kale on it. Service is good, drink prices are fine....
