We got a guided tour, and it was absolutely wonderful. It is a nice car drive through, even without a guide, but knowing the stories behind some of the stones and monuments adds much to the experience. The neighborhood itself leaves a little to be...More

I've been on multiple tours at this cemetery. Sometimes just with my wife, sometimes with the whole family. The guides have always been informed and entertaining, the insights into St Louis history very interesting, and the "behind the scenes" nature of some of the tours...More

Bellefontaine Cemetery is the most pristine and well-maintained cemetery I've ever visited. Free guided tours are highly recommended, because there is so much history to learn and so many points of interest to visit. It's ponds, fountains, and beautiful landscaping make it seem more like...More

What a fascinating place! Stop by the visitor's center and pick up a map for a tour of the various people buried here or for the location of special trees. The place is gorgeous and has some incredible mausoleums and gravestones.

This was a very unusual way to learn about the history of St. Louis. The walking tour was well conducted and interesting. One can learn a lot about an area from its cemeteries.

Enough of the bad jokes. Bellefontaine is like a wild life scantuary in many ways but it where many notable people are buried. Their wealth if reflected in the monuments left behind. Our daughter was married in the chapel there. Go when you aren't in...More

Not sure what you’re asking...there are special tours, but we just used a pamphlet provided and did a self guided tour.
