We made a reservation for a walking tour of the cemetery before we left for our trip to Missouri. We love genealogy and researching our family history. We also enjoy walking around old cemeteries even if we don't have ancestors buried there. There were at...More

We were there specifically to pay respects to William Clark. The cemetery is beautiful, and the route marked with the white line takes you by Mr. Clark's memorial. A lovely place.

I love to roam through cemeteries when I travel. You find so much local history there. I checked around when I first came to Saint Louis to find out where the largest and/or oldest cemetery was. We arrived at the cemetery on a gorgeous sunny...More

We enjoyed seeing the large tour made available to visitors. Be sure to stop and grab a brochure to follow along. The beauty and historic value of the grave sites were very humbling to see.

There is a lot of history here. If you have ancestors who were not Catholic, look to see if they are buried here. It's a beautiful cemetery close to downtown St. Louis

This was one of the most interesting experiences, visiting this incredible cemetery. The history behind the monuments is fascinating. If you stop in the office they have pamphlets with various driving tours you can take, which really helps. The architecture is also incredible.

Stopped at the building at the entrance and the nice woman at the desk gave me a driving tour guide to the trees and famous people in the cemetery. Very easy to follow and well marked. If you enjoy cemeteries as we do, this is...More

My Great, Great, Grandparents are buried there and I wanted to see their last resting place. Bellefontaine is just south of Ferguson, just west of the river and next to some defunct(looks defunct) industrial site. It was a large farm back in the 1800s. It...More
