It was so enjoyable to see the sights of Route 66 at the History Museum. Loved the old Corvette and the famous old Motel called Coral Courts that supposedly could be rented by the night or a number of hours. Cars could be parked inside garages for privacy! Really an interesting exhibit.

My friend and I ate at the Museum and were really disappointed. Service was slow. Menu was very limited. No place to have a decent sandwich. Soup served without crackers. Very disappointed.

Wonderful collection for all ages and interests. Special exhibits are always worthwhile--Highway 66, Little Black Dress, etc.

I spent a couple of hours at the Missouri History Museum during a visit to St. Louis last weekend and enjoyed my visit. Due to time limitations, I was only able to visit some of the exhibits, but I did enjoy the ones that I saw. I particularly enjoyed the Route 66 Exhibit. The Toys of the 50's, 60's, and... More

True to many things in St. Louis, this wonderful museum is absolutely free. As you enter the front doors there is a massive statue of Thomas Jefferson. On the right is a great display on 1904 the St. Louis World's Fair that is very interesting. We enjoyed seeing a variety of items that were from that time period. We especially... More

Spent a delightful afternoon at the museum recently and was impressed by the Route 66 exhibit. It is well done and should not be missed. Have visited the museum many times in the past, but the free Route 66 display is wonderful. While a bit pricey, the luncheon menu at Bixby's was quite diversified and the food was wall prepared.... The Missouri History Museum in Forest Park in St. Louis, MO. is also known as The Jefferson Memorial (large statue of him there) and The Missouri Historical Society. What I've enjoyed most is all the beautifully done exhibits there each year. The Little Black Dress (thru the ages) recently left, but now Route 66 (thru Missouri) is the main exhibit.... More

Peculiar Museum with the best organized Exhibitions and Events you will ever see. This Institution brings a tremendous pride for the State of Missouri. I recently attend an Exhibition in Celebration of Fifty Years of The Little Black Dress, where the Museum organized and put together an Orchestra to perform along with a Fashion Show with just Little Black Dresses.... I have been to the museum many times but not since they added the latest exhibit hall for route 66 - that is absolutely awesome - love it. All the little extras it has, including familiar landmarks from movies and books. Well worth spending a morning or an afternoon here.
