Free! Very well done. Several exhibits each tell a story of Missouri History. Especially liked the entire sections n devoted to Route 66 with artifacts that included an iconic sign perched outside the museum. A nice eating option with a view upstairs. The surrounding Forest Park is a destination by itself. Would be good for young kids too.

Route 66 exhibit, Toys of the 50's, 60's and 70's. Worls's Fair...all are 'must see'. This is my favorite place to visit at Forest Park, second only to the zoo.

Try to get to this place in the next couple of weeks, while the Toys of the 50's,60's, 70's is still there. Plus the Route 66/St. Louis exhibit just across the hall. Plan to spend a couple of hours. These are beautifully designed exhibits, especially the Toys exhibit. You'll see toys you remember from when you were a kid, things... More

The Route 66 exhibit was fun and a good way to kill a couple hours. BUT, the TOYS of the 50's, 60's and 70's it was like going home. I wanted to have my brother show up to just start a fight over who's toy was who. It was really a walk down memory lane.

We happened to see an ad for a toys from the 50's through 70's exhibit. We drove over (3 adults and two small children) and went in. It was free, and we spent a few hours looking through (and the kids had some hands-on time) with old toys. It was such a trip down memory lane for me (born in... More

Went to see the Toy and Route 66 exhibits. Both were excellently presented in a very entertaining manner. Even as a life long resident of Missouri, who thought I knew a lot about Route 66, I was amazed at what I learned from this exhibit. Route 66 is an icon to the world and this exhibit would be entertaining and... More

Extremely kid friendly, the activities that they have for under twelve years old kids area spectacular and very educated. They play as a immigrants, Indians, doctors, and more. We run out of time but we could spent more time there not a problem. The architecture of the building is remarkable too.

Much to see here, and the price is right! Our family really enjoyed the Route 66 exhibit. And as a pair of 40-somethings, my wife and I totally geeked out at the toys exhibit. The nostalgia was simply overwhelming. We had a blast showing the kiddos many of the exact same toys we used to play with in our younger... More

Easy to park and find your way around the building. Lots of great exhibits to see and discover. Can't wait to go back.

We have visited the museum several times and most recently this past summer. Very educational and the rotating exhibits are always great. This past summer was the "little black dress" collection. We went for the "route 66" display also. And several years ago attended the Prohibition exhibit and Napoleon exhibits. The permanent exhibits are also great about the St Louis... More
