Soulard Market is the oldest farmers market west of the Mississippi established in 1779 and is open Wednesday-Saturday. We have 13 local farmers, 1 organic farmer, a florist and spice shop, lots of food and a bunch of produce vendors that handle local and shipped in goods. The market also carries a variety of other general merchandise like shirts, jewelry, incense, sports memorabilia, hand made soaps, carpet, photography and hand made crafts. We are open 52 weeks a year.

My husband and I frequent tradition historic farmers markets around the country and world. The produce and products here are of premium quality, but the city has neglected to provide the support to make this a vibrant tourist destination. Sadly Soulard doesn't rank in the...More

This is one of the best farmers markets in the Midwest. It is vendor after vendor of fresh produce, but also a variety of other goods including a meat market. Everything here makes you mouth water for making your next recipe.

This was a fun experience from beginning to end. I started with a very good Bloody Mary from Julia's, complete with pickled asparagus. The produce although not all of it is locally grown the process are still wonderful. Try the mini doughnuts they are amazing.
