The monument is a slice of the old west history. It shows a rider on his horse delivering mail between St. Joseph and California.

Right in the center of town, it was a neat photo opportunity! There wasn't any parking nearby, so we parked in the Taco Bell parking lot and then walked across the street to take photos.

The 4 plaques around this wonderful monument really give the information about the pony express. The monument of the pony express rider and horse is very life-like. Street parking next to it.
