There is so much history preservation of the old buildings that a quick walk down Main Street was enjoyable. Lots of cute specialty shops and all the restaurant and bars you could want. Even a couple ice cream parlors and coffee shops to stop at.

Stopped in a few stores as we walked through the area. We were here years ago. Stores have changed I’m sure but I wouldn’t remember. It was 20 years or more.

This charming city boasts the Main street replete with shops, restaurants, bars, wine stores, a cigar store, and historical markers and statues. Big trees, plentiful parking (along the street AND behind the buildings, along the river), and cobblestone street.

The day we went the forecast was for rain. THis was a great day to go as some were discouraged by the weather forecast. The merchants were friendly and there is a lot of variety in shopping and restaurants.

Great, fun place to browse and shop. Quaint and cute, lots of character and history. We rented bicycles and road along the river. Excellent restaurants.

The 10 block historic district has somewhat of a feel of the French Quarter in New Orleans, with its early 19th century brick and stone buildings. Too many of the shops are stocked with pretend antiques and "cute" gift items, so there was little to...More

Each store has their own hours. Most closes at 5:00pm but there are a few that wants the most out of the day and closes at 7:00pm. And of course the mini-brewery is later.
