Loved the monkeys!
Sep 2021
Loved my trip, but visitors should know what they're getting into. This isn't a zoo and it most certainly isn't a petting zoo. It's a sanctuary where monkeys who have been mistreated can live as monkeys. The tour guides do a great job telling each monkey's story and explaining the cruelty of illegal petting zoos and the exotic pet trade.

The real stars, though, are the monkeys. Some are shy, but others really work the crowd. With the added attraction of rescued peacocks, goats, and emus, this place is worth the admission. The trail through the monkey exhibits is easy, with plenty of shady places to sit if you need a rest. There's a small snack bar selling pre-packaged food, ice cream, and soda - but bring cash, they don't take credit cards. The gift shop, however, does take cards. I recommend bringing a big bottle of water and skipping the snack bar, though.

All in all, a great experience.

Nursery and rehab for monkeys
Oct 2019
This is not a tourist attraction, but a monkeys rehab that can be visited. It is on minimal budget, sourced from donations and, consequently, looks so.
The most special is a territory where you can walk in the same space with the small yellow monkeys.

Run down, tours/attaractions not well organized
Sep 2018 • Family
When you buy the ticket, no one tells you that you must start with a tour, and no clear information about how often the tours are given. Also not told that you can't leave without a tour and guide. We had no idea and were hot and tired by that point but needed to stay for a while until we were "released". The place is not well kept and the children could not see some of the animals so it was a disappointment. Not worth paying full price.

Cute with added surprises
Sep 2018 • Family
We took our 7 month old baby during succot. He was a little bit too young but we still all enjoyed it.

The animals seem well kept and loved. The African drumming at the end was phenomenal and a great surprise. The walk through the last part was unexpected as monkeys were going crazy. My husband had his kippa stolen by a monkey!! There were no warnings to watch your belongings so consider yourself now warned!

Adventure for kids
Aug 2018
I was excited to take my grandchildren to Monkey Park. It was just OK. There are a number of playgrounds and then at the very end, you go to an enclosed area where the monkeys run free. There are some helpers so do not seem the least bit interested in explaining anything so you stand and watch as the monkeys eat the hard boiled eggs which are thrown to them. Not sure if I would recommend this place to others.

Not the best for families with babies
Jul 2018 • Family
The reason I gave it 3 stars is because it’s easy to walk through with a stroller as the paths are all dirt(yes I was shocked). Otherwise don’t go in summer it’s super hot but nice place in general. The monkeys were cool

Great visit
Jun 2018 • Family
We had a wonderful tour of the monkey sanctuary. We recommend that you call in advance and confirm the hours that they can give you a tour. It is not a zoo. It is a sanctuary for monkeys.

Really Fun Place
Jan 2017
This is a very unusual place, that lets monkeys have free rein through part of the park. Besides monkeys there are many other animals to see. Make sure to take along good shoes, as the trials are long and hilly.
