Next door to the Mayfield Cultural Center is another historic building from an old college that was here in the 1880's. Inside are bones from a dinosaur discovered here in the 1940's! This place is so amazing... all the history here is just unbelievable! We came here for a jewelry exhibit and a cafe experience our friends had told us... More

Great for kids or adults, very educational. Great outing, going to the Bollinger County Museum of Natural History, and eating at the Will Mayfield Cafe.

This is a great museum with a variety of things to see with friendly and helpful staff. In addition to the actual museum, they have a gift shop and a place for small children to play, if they get bored, which is highly unlikely. We had four generations of our family there, from ages 3 to 85, and all were... More

This is a great place to stop and spend a few minutes. They are still working on making it bigger, but it is great to view now. The staff was polite and informative. A must stop for anybody.

This little museum is off the beaten path and in spite of the fact that I've lived in Missouri for many years, I'd never heard of it until recently. It has a lot of Missouri (and other) fossils, civil War history, etc. It is worth the drive to Marble Hill if you have a few hours to spend. There are... More

I went the museum with a group of kids, planning on staying for an hour and a half. The kids were bored within 40 minutes. I found the museum to be very interesting, as did the kids, until the workers/employees at the museum kept telling the kids to be quiet continuously. One woman was so harsh and rude that I... More

The Bollinger County Museum of Natural History in Marble Hill, MO is a great place to visit on a budget. ONly $2 for adults and $1 for kids, the museum has Civil War history, prehistoric artifacts, dinosaur replicas, and quite a few things for kids to touch. We went on a spur-of-the-moment trip, and it was well worth the short... More

Surprisingly good museum in an unexpected place. Being a resident of Missouri I was astonished to discover that dinosaur fossils have been discovered in my state. This out-of-the-way museum does a good job of portraying the history and pre-history of Missouri. I am very impressed with the variety of activities available to engage children. This is not a big city... More
