My wife has been wanting to visit here for a long time. We were going to Branson for a week and decided to set a day aside and go. It was better than she thought it would be. We expected to be there for about an hour and wound up being there for 3 hrs.

Came across this while visiting the area. It was a real treat! I truly enjoyed the food, music, rare & heritage breeds of animals, vegetables, flowers, seed selections and all aspects of this quaint . On this particular day it was their fall festival and they had numerous vendors with all kinds of organic produce, products, herbal creams, soaps, crafts,... More

This place is a paradise for anyone into gardening whether it be veggies or flowers. There is much here to see and lots of knowledge to gain from the staff. The seed store has a variety of seeds you will find no where else. I hope to return in the future for their spring festival.

Went to their spring festival and was surprised at how big it was. Lots of vendors, a big tent for lectures and live music. It was a very fun day and I came back with some great information and, of course, seeds!

Bakersville has beautiful gardens which you can walk through to get an idea of different flowers. All are labeled with the common name. The village is not all open on a daily basis, but the apothecary (with teas and herbs from their gardens for sale) and the bakery were open. The cinnamon rolls were huge and delicious! The seed store... More

I had wanted to go for years as I made a trip up past it many, many times . But the highway signage was not good! I finally decided to hunt it down. The sign from the highway 60 West onto 5North says 1.5 miles then you go 1.5 miles and a reader board says turn left here and that says... More

We thought there would be more to see, especially over a holiday weekend, but only the seed store and flour mill were open with employees. The other buildings were unlocked so we could go in and look, but there wasn't much to see. My husband had hoped to see a working blacksmith and was very disappointed. The flour mill/bakery was... This is a working village with period practices. We found employees weaving rugs, baking, farming and gardening. There are farm animals as well. The restaurant had limited hours but we did find a bakery and had the largest and best cinnamon roll ever. The staff is wonderful! Very helpful and kind. You must visit the Bakersville Seed Company with thousands... More

Bakersville Pioneer Village is a must see for anyone going to Mansfield to see the Laura Ingalls Wilder house. This is a seed company, but they have a village set up that you can go and see. Take time to walk around the old time village and even go into some of the buildings. you might even be able to... More

My husband and I made a special trip to Mansfield to visit Baker Creek. We have a large vegetable garden and couldn't pass up seeing Bakersville. First, the scenery is absolutely gorgeous. The seed store has an incredible variety of seeds, and they also sell a lot of other goods. We had lunch at the restaurant. It is vegetarian and... More
