Impressive spring fed river. The hatchery was interesting. I also ate at the Lodge. The Lodge was built by the CCC during the Depression by stone masons. It is worth a trip to the Park and a meal at the Lodge.

The kids will have great fun looking at the trout hatchery, and the fishing can be good. At the Bennett Spring is very interesting to see the thousands of gallons of water coming up to feed this spring from an underwater cave.

I have been to Bennett Springs (the fishery) to fish in the steam several times. Great fishing if you're out there early. The mouth can get overfished so downstream may have more opportunities, but I saw less fish further down, but they BITE. Very neat...More

We have been to this park 20-30 times. Granddaddy of Missouri trout parks. Some of the architecture is from 1930s with WPA work. Fun, family spot: Hiking, nature center, swimming pool. Eat in the lodge or picnic. Ask for help to figure out zone fishing....More

I'm not sure I can answer that accurately so you may want to call Bennett Springs directly at 800-334-6946. It is not long though and is readily accessible with motor homes and 5th wheels if that is your concern.
