City Hall is both functional and beautiful. It was built at the height of the Art Deco movement of the early part of the 20th Century, and it, along with the Jackson County Courthouse, are rife with beautiful acoutrements, trims and decors in this style.

A interesting reason to visit city hall in Kansas City. But do not incorporate other city hall activities into the tourist visit as city hall is a typical of government entities.

Parking is metered and somewhat limited. The building entrances are guarded and you will pass through a metal detector. In and of itself, it is a magnificent building.

Come and walk the 30 or so floors. Great lunch event. The is the heart of Kansas City, MO. If you are downtown stop in to see the wonderful architecture.

Nobody ever knows that you can go to the top of this building. Amazing views you don't get a lot of time up there but it's a fun cheap thing to do and you can see how much of Kansas City has changed a lot...More

Stopped by here on a steamy, 100 degree June day. I am terrified of heights, but my husband had been wanting to see the building and the deck, so I sucked it up and went for it. It was really pretty fun, but definitely will...More

Once going through security proceed to the basement floor; then take an elevator ride to the top observation deck. An amazing view of the city, and surrounding area.
