If you like old buildings you will love this.

We mistakenly found this old beautiful building downtown. It is an awesome thing to see if you like older buildings with great features.

One of the prominent features of the Kansas City skyline, the Power & Light Building is a classic example of Art Deco era architecture. At night, when the top is lit up it, looks like it came right out of the "Ghostbusters" movie.

well its not like you can go inside... it was partially full of offices. but as of sep 2014 they finally cleared the last tenant out and not they are converting to apartments, which i supper exciting. glad the building is getting a make over, lots of shiny new windows. an important part of the kcmo skyline.

Cool old building. Love the architecture and the light at the top that forecast the weather. Lots to learn about the down town KC area and the Power and Light building is a big part of that.

We went by the Power and Light Building to have some drinks and listen to the concert they had going on. It's pretty cool, but really not much more than a combination indoor/outdoor mall where they have concerts in the center court.

Great area but when there are events you will pay upwards of $30 just to park! You would think Kansas City would be a bit more hospitable and not gouge for parking! Cheers!"

Reviewers "theHighwaywarrior" and "Motion22" best summarize the actual building and the surrounding party area. I just wanted to chime in and say that the P&L building in Kansas City, Mo perfectly summarizes what the city looks like. As far as metropolitan cities go, this has its own unique feel like Time Square or Dallas. In the end, all cities has... More

The Kansas City Power and Light Building is an Art Deco landmark of the Kansas City skyline. Completed in 1931, the west side of the building actually has no windows because a twin tower was originally supposed to be built next to it. When it was constructed, it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi River. It kept that... More

The P&L District is great for dining/drinking before/after an event at the Sprint Center or any of the surrounding concert/show venues. It's worth checking out the KC Live courtyard if you are in town for a convention. Their is a full service grocery store, Cosentino's, nearby.
