We were there on Memorial Day and walked the enormous grounds. It reminded me of the beautiful parks in Paris. We also didn't know that it was the site of a civil war battle, Battle of Westport" referred to as the Gettysburg of the West.

As a local I stop by here occasionally to stroll through the rose garden. Beautiful, smells great and I glean an idea of roses to try in my own yard.

The rose garden is beautiful. Nice park to walk around, or spend your lunch hour. We took family pictures in rose garden and by the water fountains.

I only had to walk about half amile to the opening site of the Battle of Westport (1864). The park is very nice in and of itself but it has many connections to Missouri's past including the Osage Indians and the Battle of Westport, a...More

My daughter inquired and yes weddings can be performed at many places in the park BUT the wait is VERY long typically over 6 months unless you choose a weekday
