Very nice building with nice visuals. It was a holiday, so the governor and legislators were not in the building that day. There is a small museum inside that is worth spending a half hour or more looking at. Free tours are also available though...More

The Missouri state capitol has great art and architecture. It is a must visit for all those in the state and those visiting. Make sure to get the guided tour and to see the small Museum off to the side.

Loved seeing the busts of famous people from Missouri in the rotunda area. House Chamber much more impressive than the Senate Chamber. Located along the river so some amazing views from some of the offices.

Make sure you wear comfortable walking shoes if you plan to tour and see all there is to see. Recommend you plan to take at least 3 hours to learn about the rich history and to see all of the art work.

As a native, I take the Capitol for granted. Doesn't everyone have a massive classical domed seat of government downtown? When I'm inside, the building's grand staircase, fine finishes and impressive artwork hint at the pride Missourians take in their home. The first floor wings...More
