The surf is really good here, so many cool bars and places to eat for all types of people. You can rent surf boards right on the beach too

First off if you love humidity then go in September October otherwise avoid the rainy season the heat was uncomfortable! But I’d go back in a heartbeat beautiful people, food, beaches, that chill vibe is just what we were looking for and the jungle is...More

Fun times. Good food, great drinks and it’s fun to watch the surfers. There are way too many vendors and you have to say no 5-8 times before they will leave. They will interrupt your conversation and put goods right in your face. I get...More

Excellent and beautiful beach! Great for swimming, surfing and beach combing. Lots of places to stop for food or drinks. Lots of beach vendors selling everything you can imagine. Very clean and beautiful water.

Went to Sayulita with a group of friends. We all live in Puerto Vallarta full time so may have a different perspective than a person who is visiting Sayulita as a tourist. It's hard not to compare Sayulita to Puerto Vallarta since they are only...More

We took a ride up to Sayulita while visiting the Nuevo Vallarta area. The ride through the mountains was really nice. The town is small and very tourist friendly. There are lots of little shops and restaurants. The beach was very busy when we were...More

Sayulita is a hidden gem, we will definitely be going back! My only recommendation is not to go during the month of July. It was extremely hot and somewhat miserable to walk around in. Although it is considered their rainy season, it didn’t rain once...More

I went twice, Friday and Sunday (today). Today it was fine. Friday I did get a whiff of sewage smell, not in the main town or beach, but a few hundred yards away. So, I don't know how severe it was when you went, but overall... More

They are working on the sewerage system in the town, near the river. No smell on the main beach when we visited in June.
