Another great cathedral in Sergiyev Posad
Dec 2019 • Friends
As with the others, an impressive interior, both the iconostasis as the frescoes. When we visited there wasn’t any service being conducted.

Built over the tomb of St Sergius in 1422.

this cathedral might be smaller than the other ones on the site and only features one dome, however it is a most important cathedral and venerated by the Russians. Wall paintings and iconostastis are of amazing quality. the place is quite dark inside and this adds to the atmosphere. Well worth the journey from Moscow.

Even a December 31st, it's lined up to go for a few moments in this beautiful church. To see for those interested in the history of Russia.

A must see
Apr 2018 • Friends
A single golden domed cathedral built on the church built by wood by St Sergius. His sacred body is kept here. Very religious place.

Feel the presence of God

This newly renovated area is a working monastery, unique in the fact that it still operated during the atheist years of Communist rule.

See it when you are in that area
Aug 2017 • Family
When you pay to enter that area, no reason not to visit it too. The building itself is more simple and plain than the rest there but still religious and holy.

Highlights of visit to the Monastery
Jul 2017 • Friends
The Cathedral of the Trinity should be another target or highlight for the visitors to the Monastery Compound. The white-colored Cathedral is built in the 15th century and housed the tomb of Sergius. If you are lucky, you can have the chance to observe the ceremony to be held here. Highly recommended.
