Lovely town to go and visit. The castle is lovely at sunset and gives you a new perspective of it. Recommend if you are in the area.

This is more of an old fort ruins than a castle. In the center there is this big arena which still holds bull fighting on special occasions. Inside the city wall are shops and restaurants.

We were not suppose to go but didn't regret. The views are outstanding and the place was still quite authentic.

This is a must visit if you're in the area...but it's a walk on very uneven grounds...so wear comfortable shoes! Make sure your GPS system works too because it is a hard place to find...

The small village and castle of Monsaraz is a must visit. The views are amazing and there's a handful of charming shops/restaurants. Parking can be a challenge so go early.
