If you are a visitor to Columbia, this is a must see. Shelter Gardens is a tiny utopia behind a large corporate headquarters. Well maintained and beautifully planted, with meandering paths and quiet benches.

The gardens are well manicured and very well maintained. Took a nice little walk and had our brown bag lunch at one of the tables, enjoying the peaceful scenery.

Stopped by for a short visit on the way to someplace else. Easily walked in 1/2 hour but could probably spend an afternoon enjoying the garden. Koi pond and restored one-room school house were the highlights for me.
