Was hesitant after seeing a few reviews but so glad we stopped. The grounds are nicely manicured with flowers and beautiful trees. The Chapel is mesmerizing with intricate paintings and stain glass windows. These's a brief guided tour explaining the murals that was very worthwhile....More

I am actually amazed that we stopped, but it is nice. If you are into it, you will really enjoy it, there is not anything like it anywhere else.

I don't understand the appeal of this place. It's pretty run down. The main facility looks like it was fairly busy a quarter century ago but now it feels all but abandoned. The spillover parking lot is overgrown with weeds. And suffice it to say...More

Honestly, skip it. It was fun years ago, they had ice skating, water shows, lengthy tours through gorgeous grounds, cute camping areas, restaurants, etc. Those days are over. It's a run-down shell of what it once was.

It's not there anymore
I'm looking to visit the chapel sometime in June. I will be travelling from Toronto, Ontario and was wondering what is the best itinerary for a trip there. I'm looking to do a 4 days travel, so 1 day at the chapel and the rest maybe in areas nearby. Is there an itinerary recommended by fellow advisors? My husband and I more interested in food and local culture. I'm looking to fly into a major airport and then drive around. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated!
