Interesting murals give significant events of area over hundreds of years; others honor famous persons who were born or lived in Missouri. Plenty of convenient free parking on weekend we were there. Also within walking distance to restaurants.

Walking along the Mississippi River in downtown Cape Girardeau, came upon this outstanding muriel painted on the flood wall on the shoreline. Very talented artists decorated this wall, that could have been an eyesore otherwise.

Love looking at all of the history down town Loved the Wall of Fame and the artwork, I am handicapped and enjoyed being able to see all of the wall in a car not having to walk

Visitors seem to always enjoy seeing this attraction, which is in the historic downtown district of our city. Many little shops, and restaurants within a city block, along with awesome views of the mighty Mississippi River.

Weather was very cold or we would have walked along the wall. A lot of very interesting history. Maybe we will get a chance next time.

The Missouri Wall of Fame is not an event, per se, but large wall art you can view as you are walking along Water Street in Cape Girardeau. As the name implies, the large painted walls highlight famous folks from Missouri!

If you stroll to downtown Cape Girardeau, take a few minutes to walk the flood wall and admire some famous Missourians and the artwork honoring them. Very interesting and educational.

We enjoyed walking along The Missouri Wall of Fame today on our way to see the "Nina" and the "Pinta" replica's of Christopher Columbus' ships. They were docked just past this wall, along the mighty Mississippi River. The Columbus Foundation has scheduled stops for these ships...More

This area is well maintained the the artwork always looks fresh. So much history along the different scenes that are painted along the walkway. It's also interesting in seeing the different flood levels and the years that they had happened.

Great place to see and do. Great history of cape Girardeau! The painting is well done and descriptive. Children and adults would enjoy. Must be able to walk on flat surface for 3-4 blocks.
