Another free and interesting afternoon. They have a film to watch. Two floors of hands on exibit.An oberservation deck over looking the lake, dam friendly guides, and clean restrooms . Always Chefnfly

We drove to see this and happened upon the fish hatchery while there. By doing the hatchery tour, we got to see great views of the dam. You can see both things this way.

Learn abut the culture and history of the area. Lots to read and learn. See the dam closeup and learn about the power it produces. Learn abut the past cultures, the animals, etc.

It's not Hoover. It's something to see. Make sure you look at it from both sides. It gives you different perspectives.

Spent about 45 minutes taking pictures and heading to the top of the dam. Street is only for cars. Good fishing down the stream.

Yes anyway downstream of the dam. Artificial bait only. Right where the hatchery exits into Taneycomo is very popular.
