A highlight of the Silver Dollar City theme park, this constantly evolving wet limestone cave under the Ozark Mountains, dating back to the 1500s, provides a one-hour tour of fascinating rooms and passageways. The cave's entryway is the largest in the U.S.

Although there is an additional fee to tour the cave once inside Silver Dollar City it is well worth it. The guides are knowledgeable and entertaining. You might need a light jacket even on the most sweltering days. The formations in the cave are breathtaking,...More

Lot of walking but so interesting. Tourguide made the tour fun snd was very attentive to the group. Got our picture taken in the middle of the tour.

We went on a very hot day, so the cool non-airconditioned atmosphere was very enjoyable. Brief (intentional) near total darkness reminded us of a total solar eclipse we experienced awhile ago.

We joined the first tour of the day. The lady who told us about their policies was very funny and engaged the tour. Our guide, Rick (?), was also funny and very informative about the history of the cave. Both of them told the group...More

My 8 year old asked to do this again! Seeing the different formations is cool and the stories from the guide were fun to listen to. It does involve going down a lot of stairs and some uneven walk ways but my 3 year old...More

As far as a sinkhole goes, it was amazing. Alot of steps, the stories shared by the guides are interesting and make the journey to the bottom fun. The steps themselves are "whew", took days for my legs to recover. If you are expecting rooms...More

This is definately worth doing while your at Silver Dollar City. My kids tend to be chickens when it comes to things but they really enjoyed this. They saw a bat hanging on the ceiling. Its an hour long walk that really flies buy. This...More

Marvel Cave is a good experience especially if you haven't been in a cave before with nice guides, good lighting, and without getting dirty (like I have spelunking in other caves). It's about 500 steps down, 200 up, and a mine train ride at the...More

I'm sorry, but I don't know. They have a Lantern Light Tour that can start as early as 4:30pm (depending on when the park close, sometimes it's 5:30), so they might stop the regular tours before that particular one starts... More

You can actually get into the cave for free. The cave is not owned by SDC. It is owned by Lake of the Ozarks college. You can do some paperwork and get in for free only the cave not the theme park.
