Our family enjoyed the tour very much. It was in Hungarian. (This part of Austria belonged to Hungary , so many people speak Hungarian here. And many tourists arrive from Hungary of course.) The castle became an armory, so you can see weapons (guns, swords, armour,...More

Greta place to visit in any time of the year, although make sure you are warmly dressed in the winter, the castle is not heated. Quite nicely guided.

I honestly recommend the castle visit. Large history of the Esterhazy family, family treasures and historical weapons from the 17-19th century in a very nice, well preserved castle. Do not miss the panorama terrace, from where you have the best view to the region!

One of must-see "burg" when you are in Burgenland. Impressive castle visible from afar, good accessibility by car, great history inside, dominant medieval tower and very nice view from castle.

The castle was never captured so everything is in its original condition. One of the many homes and fortresses of the Esterhazy's, this one has the largest private weapons collection in Europe. The treasury chamber is excellent. The views from the castle are excellent and...More
