What a great place to stay. We were there for three nights and were able to learn so much about the history of this area. It is a civil war battlefield sight and my cousins reenactment group was there doing Q&A for visitors. The spots...More

Wow! We thought we were just going to visit a park! This spot is beautiful and rich in history. It was a nomination fee of $4/person and totally worth it. The museum had TONS of info and displays with artifacts from the civil war era,...More

An important part of the Vicksburg campaign. And a surprise on our trip. Would suggest trim trimming the trees to allow a more historical view from the battery and view of point of rocks

the site is actually pretty important for the civil war but there is not a whole lot of information about it or what actually went on here. It's just a bunch of buildings with some info and a campground. Could be so much more.
