Patterned after the National Capitol, this has been the Capitol building for the state of Mississippi since 1903. Today it is major tourist attraction as well as the focus of Mississippi state government activities.

A must see if visiting the Capital City. Beautiful rotundas. Tours available. Go when the legislative bodies are in session for a close up look at Southern politics.

It's a nice building to pass by and go into during business hours. The architecture is cool with the pillars and dome. It is worth a quick visit.

As capitals go, this one is pretty boring for a working capital. We’ve seen several while traveling. It has some high points but nothing interesting. We didn’t go to the old capital museum.

The Capital is a fascinating place to see. I could walk around the inside and outside for hours, finding great spot to take pictures. I highly recommend stopping by on your travels.

Great, nice Building. Very sad it's occupant is a disgrace. Don't people vote in this state. What a horrible man with his views to run a state in 2017. Vote people.

The MS State Capitol is stunning. There is so much detail in every room and the stained glass windows are beautiful. It is a must see if you are in Jackson.

We found street parking across from the Capitol on Monday morning when the legislature was hurrying to finish its session. Depending on whether they are insertion, parking may be harder to find on the street.
