My opinion
Jul 2020 • Family
An interesting & beautiful garden centre with the added advantage of being able to visit various gardens (ie. Japanese) of different styles. A lovely cafeteria with DELICIOUS food with indoor & outdoor dining areas. The staff are friendly & helpful. The horticultural staff are knowledgeable & obliging. We love going there as a family group.

Gorgeous place but service a bit all over the place
Sep 2020
This fabulous place just needs decent management to organise the staff as they are all nice but all over the place. You can wait ages at a till whilst others are waiting for coffee. Food is fine but it would be so much better it it could be a bit more organised

Gardens would have been spectacular in their prime
Jun 2019 • Couples
This comprises a series of around 20 individual gardens which are free to enter behind an excellent garden centre and adjoining cafe. We went specifically to see the gardens. In their prime we can imagine these would have been spectacular, particularly the hard landscaping designs but these are many years old and have not really been maintained. Shrubs have overgrown their space and many design elements are showing their age.
If in the area, it is still worth a visit and the quality of plants sold in the garden centre, the ‘Arboretum’ looks to be very good.

Gorgeous place not just for gardeners!
Oct 2018 • Solo
Love this place for a wander in summer or winter. Beautiful plants and little nooks to sit in and enjoy. The plants are definitely superior to most garden centres so worth that little bit extra.
The Secret Garden cafe is also a little gem. Great coffee and super staff - especially the tattooed barista.

Very enjoyable

Rachels gardens were fascinating! A multitude of different gardens in a relatively modest area. We walked our dogs through the gardens while drinking coffee from the cafe. Friendly and helpfull staff. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyable fun day - Hidden Gem
Aug 2018 • Family
Went to the the family fun day on Saturday. It was great for kids with the playground, we could look around in peace.
Beautiful setting and plenty of space to push a buggy.
Great range of plants and shrubs. Nice place to pick up gifts.
We stayed for coffee and cake, it was very busy, (put that down to the day that's in it), had a bit if a struggle with the buggy & tables, but a lovely, friendly, staff member, (she'd glasses), Gillian (I think), went out of her way to fit us all together.
Homemade cakes, Delicious.
We'll definitely be back. Hidden gem.

Good quality and excellent friendly advice.
Aug 2018 • Couples
We recently visited and we were very impressed with the helpful and friendly advice. The lady took time to help us choose our plants and showed a genuine interest.
We even managed an Irish breakfast which was a bonus!

Nice place but exhausting experience
Aug 2018 • Couples
While one could not argue the fact this is a beautiful setting for lunch , by the time you get your food , figure out how it all works , pay for it , find your seat ,you will be exhausted.
Maybe go when it's not a popular time.
