Took the morning boat out to West Ship Island and had a great time on the beach. They have decent restrooms and the prices for food is reasonable. Most people don't stay the whole day and return on the 2:30 PM boat back to the...More

Wish we could have stayed longer. The beach was awesome and so was the shelling. Since you take a boat out and back island was not over crowded. However, trying to take a shower before leaving was a mess.

Head over to left side of the beach for more privacy and a pretty view. The sell fairly good food with some healthier options. Watch out for the aggressive seagulls, though! Take the tour of the fort, it's worth it to hear the history and...More

The ferry ride is nice and a straight shot out from Biloxi, there's some snacks and drinks on board. The island itself is very beautiful, with a long boardwalk to get you from one side of the island to the other. The beach wasn't crowded...More

This is the second time I have been to Ship Island and I will go back again. The ride out is a little slow, I wanted the ship to go faster :) But we had a wonderful time.

One of the reasons I appreciate this island is that it's a place secluded from the hustle and bustle of the mainland. The ferry ride is about an hour long but the boats are very nice. One of them, the Capt. Pete, even has a...More

Yes they have two ships daily that go to and from the island. I would strongly recommend taking the early ship out and late ship back. You can take your own food/drinks, but there is a little snack shop that only takes cash... More

Ship Island has no homes to rent. Besides, everyone must leave by the last evening ferry. Biloxi, Mississippi is where you should be looking for to Rent.
