Home of Ex-Confederate President of the Confederate States of America where he lived his remaining 12 years of his life (post-war) and where he wrote "The Rise and Fall of the Confederate Government." Golf Carts are now available to rent. Guided tour of the home showing how life was lived by the President and his family and self guided grounds (Varina's Garden, Cemetery, and nature trail), Museum, separated into 3 sections: Rotating Gallery, Soldier's Exhibit, and President Davis Exhibit. Research Library including reference books to accommodate most genealogy research focused on the Civil War.

Beauvoir was the last home of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederate States of America. It is a museum now and is filled with beautiful artifacts. There is also a cemetery on the property. Well worth your time.

If you go to Biloxi you should visit Beauvoir. Lots of great things to see and love hearing all about the history of the place. Beautiful old house!!!

Stopped in to tour the mansion and research materials at the library. The building is well preserved and restored and there are signs and plaques to explain the exhibits. There's a large gift shop and the grounds can be explored but we didn't have time....More

An example of the architecture of the period. Jefferson Davis lived here after the Civil War ended. Not anything to jump up and down about.
