Pretty interesting thing to see out on a lake but there it is. A lot of large and small towns have interesting things like this to attract touist and help them stand out a bit.

We stayed at a motel close by and the manager we walked around the lake and check out the Giant Loon. Very cute!

If you go in the evening they have recorded sounds that loons make, great fun for the kids. Maybe even a little romantic

Big loon that's been in the lake forever. Would be cool if you're really into loons. I've seen this thing almost my whole life so I'm not impressed anymore. :D

We just got done seeing the rubber ducky in Duluth and come here and were surprised with the big loon!

The directions are not great, but if you go to the candy shop in town, it's literally right down the street. Interesting to see but not a destination for sure.

A little hard to find from the Roadside website directions, but search for the lake instead and you'll get there. The loon is fun, but kept turning away from us - we even drove to the other side of the lake and it was still...More
