Beautiful falls!

Easy walk from Lamb's Resort to see these gorgeous falls. I didn't climb down the steep hill to walk along the Cross River, but some folks did.

We were returning to Duluth and suddenly realized that there is a fall flowing behind the bridge and decided to stop. To our surprise, there is a immediate parking available just beside the falls.Good pit stop !!

We were not aware of this falls when setting off on our waterfall tour. It is right up the road from our first lodging, Superior Ridge Resort (recommend). It is a large and beautiful falls. There is a wayside rest to park at, then a very short walk to view the falls from the sidewalk on the Hwy 61 overpass.... More

The waterfall is right by the highway. There's a parking area next to the falls and it's an easy walk over a paved sidewalk to get right over the falls for some pix.

If you are staying at Lambs Resort, you can hike here from the boulders. If you are driving by, there is a path from the highway. Depending upon the strength of the river on that day, it is a great place to swim at the bottom of the waterfall.

Wide rushing waterfall immediately adjacent to Highway 61. Just a few steps from the highway. Good for a quick stop.

You drive right by this on Hwy 61 halfway up the northshore. It was right beside our camp -Lamb's Resort- in Schroder, MN. Great picture ops from both sides of the highway bridge.

Quick stop to view the beautiful waterfall and to teach my son how the river received its name. (Very cool story about a priest some native Americans and a Lake Superior storm) Well worth the quick stop

This gorgeous waterfall is easy to view with a very short walk from the parking lot. You'll see it from the roadway as you drive by. Worth a stop. They even have restrooms, giving you at least 2 reasons to stop here. Across the highway is a bakery and more. We stop here often on our way North to Grand... More

For years we've been confused. I swear I've read you can hike the river form the wayside rest, but there is not a way that we've found. It seems to be surrounded by private property which we found out the hard way by accidentally walking on a driveway we thought was a trail and being met by the nothing short... More
