My son is in 4H and is out at the Fair for either livestock or a general project. I would recommend buying your tickets at Cub Foods before the fair starts for a small discount and puck up the blue ribbon book, we use all the drink coupons and a few of the food ones. There are free park and... More

The fair is fun, the food always interesting. I was tired of going till my granddaughter was old enough to enjoy going. I find it boring with adults, more fun with children. Save money and buy discount admission and midway tickets before fair at Cub or whoever else offers them.

There are a ton of food options at the MN State Fair and plenty of things to see. The kiddie midway is fun for the small ones and not overly expensive. We love to get a malt from the dairy barn, MN grown corn on the cob across from the grandstand and of course cheese curds!

This is indeed the Great MN Get Together. My wife and I are retired now so we have the luxury of being able to head to the fairgrounds in the morning. You can pretty much walk anywhere, anytime. But by 4:00pm, you can feel the crowds start to build and walking now becomes a major zigzag. There's always something new... More

I was disappointed in the last two years at the state fair. We did not see anything new there. We paid money to go to get in line to pay for food.

I have been going to the Minnesota State Fair every year for over 30 years. I always look forward to the new foods to try. Always have the same traditional foods that I go back to.

Who doesn't love a state fair? So many things to see and do. So much to eat and drink. So much learning to absorb. There is something for everyone here. Our local TV stations all broadcast from here for the 10 days. From Ye Olde Mill, to Machinery Hill; the DNR bldg to the Horticulture bldg, it's easy to spend... More

Be ready to try just about any food on-a-stick. ATMs all over. Be sure to get there early to avoid crowds. Wagons, Wheelchairs, etc available for rent; best to reserve ahead of time. You can walk a little or a lot depending how much area you want to cover. There are trolleys and overhead trams. Carnival rides for all ages... More

This is the best state fair I've ever been to. Wide variety of food and drinks, rides and games and plenty of entertainment. Don't go away without trying the corn and the cookies, two state fair favorites. I enjoy looking around at all the different booths below the grandstands and sitting with friends to have a beverage.
