Walking around Silver Lake and hearing the water, geese and ducks is a wonderful way to relax! As you walk around, you see wildlife and when you pass around or through the playground/picnic area, you get to see people enjoying each other while their children...More
There is a rather large flock of ducks and geese that live in this park year round. They are really neat especially in the spring and fall when they are joined by the migrating flocks. On nice fall, winter, and spring days this is a...More
There is a peacefulness about Silver Lake—a small bit of water on the edge of downtown Rochester. It is a great place for a stroll and for goose watching. Winter is quieter than other seasons, but there is still a lot to see.

No cabins. It's not the kind of lake that you vacation on, or fish on. It's more of a side attraction, actually, that you enjoy while you are in Rochester for some other event. Definitely not a lake to build a vacation around. But if you're planning a trip to town for something else, I'd check our airbnb to find a nice place to stay. Lot's of options.
