A nice place to walk

Silver Lake is a rather long walk from the Mayo Clinic, but doable. There are a few trails, and it is a pleasant place to clear your head.

The green bank brush has helped cut down on goose crap. Still watch where ya walk. A good exercise route to take or run

We enjoyed a nice scenic walk near downtown Rochester. Not as nice as a more rural area, but nice for it's location. The big drawback were all of the geese.

Restful get away from Clinic where you can stretch your legs after sitting all day at clinic. Lots of geese! Fun to watch.

This is a very quiet, lovely spot. Especially nice if you are in town for stressful medical issues. The ducks are an added feature. We stop by here from time time-especially when stress invades our lives.

Went to the park to take photos... Couldnt believe all the geese. Take the time to walk around and appreciate the view. If you have a camera bring it. Lots of photo opportunities, just watch where you step. Picnic tables set up during season.

Nice place for a stroll at your own pace. Watch where you walk. Goose droppings everywhere, especially in grassy areas.

Walk around the lake on many well marked paved and unpaved trails. Lots of trees, flowers and geese.

Everyone talks about Rochester's Silver Lake - the home of 20,000 Canadian Geese in the winter. I'm not sure if that is a validated number of geese, but I will certify we have a whole lot of them winter on the lake and grounds. A nearby powerplant warms the water so it won't melt and the geese enjoy that. Dozens... More
