Had a free day in KK to kill after trekking and island hoping and decided to check out the wildlife park. I’m a 30s male and went with a similar aged mate. Read the mixed reviews but found the whole experience to have been above...More

The enclosures are sometimes a bit of a step back in time, being a bit small and cage like - but improvements are obviously underway and things look like they will be much better in years to come. The animal show was fantastic and the...More

Reasonable selection of animals to look at - would have liked to have seen some reptiles and not so much normal wildlife such as deer and cows but overall worth a visit and it wasn't an expensive visit Couple of hours will easily see what...More

This is a country that prides itself on Natural species management & it has many areas where that is true. THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM the enclosures are divorce of any stimulation or natural shade. If you are an animal lover this place will...More

Animals kept in very small enclosures, elephants exhibiting stress induced mental illness. Very sad to see animals kept like this.

Having seen some of these animals in their natural surrounds it was hard to see the sun bears, bear cats and monkies in particular in such small surrounds given there appeared to be more grounds around the zoo. Some of the animals looked over heated...More

We shared a minibus out from KK, and got here in half an hour, opting for the early start (9.30) knowing it would be cooler and quieter. Cheap to go in ( only 20 ringgits each) and there was plenty to occupy us on our...More

While I agree with some of the other reviews that the animals might not be treated the best (I saw an ostrich with a very bad looking coat of feathers) this place was surprisingly good. It's much larger than it seems at first glance (maybe...More

Lok Kwai Wildlife Park is easy to get to from Kota Kinabalu. Taxis are 140 ringet round trip plus 50 ringet per hour while they wait in the Park's car park and you visit the Park. The Park has all of the key Bornean wildlife...More

The show involves some macaws, civet and snake. Two shows in a day, i can't be sure of the show timing in the morning, if I remember correctly, it is around 10-11am, in the afternoon it is at 3.15pm.

The best option is by Taxi, cost around RM30-40..the entrance fee should be RM20 for tourists. Cheers!
