Big Woods State Park - a great place to camp, picnic, and hike. Trails are relatively short and not too strenuous. Campsites are well laid out. Restrooms/showers are clean and well maintained. Recommend spending some time at Hidden Falls on one of the hiking trails....More

The hiking club trail is 2.2 miles and covers varied terrain through a beautiful hardwood forest. Some of the trail is steep. The trails are well maintained.

Spent an afternoon at the Big woods ($7 day pass). Actual bathrooms in the lodge (no outhouse- women will understand this importance), the picnic area was a typical picnic area, and the trail we used was well maintained for the hike. The signs were informative...More

About all you could do is drive through the camp ground. All the trails are walking trails.
