I didn't see the entire building but did visit several floors and open areas. It's mainly an old office building but the "bones" seem solid and the architecture inside and out make it wort stopping by.

A must "go see" stainless glass, tile artworks, & the grand marble staircase. The clock chimes daily at lunch & at holiday's. The Minneapolis City Hall is also called the Hennepin County Courthouse, & more formally Municipal Building Commission. It is listed on the National...More

One of the few remaining old buildings in the city. It is surrounded by newer structures and it is fun to take a step back in time.

Great to see from the outside. Limited as to the inside . A sight to see in the daytime. Keep in mind that the Minneapolis jail is located inside so some of the people hanging around the outside, ( mostly at night ) can be...More

Most City Halls can be nondescript but Minneapolis's stands out amongst the new & old buildings with its weathered copper plate roofing reminiscent of Quebec & Ottawa but I suppose they are near neighbours really ? Great use of polished timbers and a beautiful building...More
