The architecture is stunning. Must go and visit, this first basilica built in the U.S. They do great work with the homeless, poor and needy of the city, so dropping a monetary donation there will be put to very good use.

Beautiful church - exquisite stained glass on two levels. Beautiful carved ceilings, lovely proportions. The organist was rehearsing when we were there, adding the perfect touch.

The basilica looks like an Italian basilica, well kept, beautiful, with many little details you shouldn't miss. Visit, walk around, and if you can, attend a service.

I had a couple of hours to kill before having to leave the Twin Cities. The Basilica was in walking distance of my hotel, and I wanted to see the stained glass windows that others on this forum had commented on. By coincidence, I entered the church as their Lenten Vespers began. The church proper was nearly empty, but the... More

This is certainly an impressive church with a wide and high sanctuary. The altar has a 4 marble pillared gazebo covering it that you don't usually see in churches. The stained glass windows have very intricate designs. The copula over the altar is also impressive. It's very much like European churches but without all of the elaborate side chapels.

This church is stunning! At the edge of Downtown Minneapolis it is very accessible. It has been renovated and church service are always open to public. If you are lucky you could stumble upon a wedding

We visited mid week just to see the building. It is beautiful, but the Cathedral in St. Paul is much nicer. Pay parking ramp is close by, but street parking is limited.

Gorgeous... Welcoming to visitors. Frequently undergoing renovations - can sometimes obstruct views but kept in great condition.
