Converted train line, this used to be a desolate area with crime and graffiti. It's now well lit, safe and offers a very smooth ride. Look for little restaurants and bike shops along the route.

I love Minneapolis built separate bike and pedestrian infrastructure. The midtown greenway cuts straight east and west through old neighborhoods and industrial areas from the Mississippi to the chain of lakes. A printed map offers a guide to the neighborhoods and attractions pubs shops and...More

I've used the Midtown Greenway many times with my own bike or with the easy to use Minneapolis bike share program. This trail connects the "always busy" Uptown section to south Minneapolis and beyond.

This is both commuting bikeway and a great place to experience biking without a great amount of exertion as it is almost level. Great exercise and a great way to get a sense of the neighborhoods it passes through.

We had a great time on the Greenway! We enjoyed seeing great urban planning, and it was a convenient way to get quickly to the chain of lakes area. Very well maintained as well.

Because, that's basically what the Greenway is. When I first moved to the twin cities, I hopped on more as a leisurely activity. It's beautiful in the summer because of the continuous green space and parks that sit along the trail. But, I also ride...More

This paved path runs from the Mississippi River all the way out to Hopkins. I believe it used to be a railroad, but it was gutted and made into a path for bikes, walkers, skaters, etc. This is one of the best bike paths in...More
