The last time I went was 3 years ago and the falls were roaring. It is so beautiful and serene, it is hard to believe you are in the middle of a big city.

A beautiful park in the heart of Minneapolis- a great new playground for kids, abundance of walking/hiking, paved biking trails, waterfall, night time music in the summer, great food and beer at Sea Salt!

So fun to visit Minnehaha Park and see the waterfall and walk through the woods. Plenty of space to hike, clean area, great place to enjoy nature.

Attended a high school graduation party of a friend at one of the shelters. Many families strolling through the park which is just a short walk to the river when you can visit Lock and Dam #1. Several places to east and drink.

Most parking is metered. There are some free street park but it us hard to find. I believe there are some season parking lots for an annual fee.
Is there a place to rent a canoe or kayak for a short ride-- not for a day long excursion, just a quick ride?
