My wife and I traveled from across the country to attend a convention. It was our first journey to Minneapolis, Minnesota. We travelled easily by commuter train from the airport to the downtown area. Although it was cool in March, the city has organized the region into indoor Skyways that lead to the Convention Center. This is a wonderful venue... More

The Minneapolis Convention Center is large, new and very nice. One gripe: convention centers should be designed for visitors - very few people actually know where they are going. So clear, effective signage is SUPER important. They have signs everywhere with arrows indicating the various halls and rooms and auditoriums. But the arrows are difficult to read. Someone decided to... More

Lots of character. Well arranged, not just a big open one room facility like to many others. Connects to the Sky Way.

My husband and I attend several events a year at the Minneapolis Convention Center. The convention center itself is a good venue. During the Minnesota winter, these indoor events make for a nice evening out! Especially to an inside facility, on the Skyway system where you can enjoy travel shows, car shows, motorcycle shows, garden shows, etc.! Consistently over the... More

Our company participated in a convention here, and it was the first time I've ever been. Very nice facility - modern, open, easy to get around, lots of food options. My favorite part is that we could drive our van all the way into the convention center to unload. No worries about temperature or the elements.

The Minneapolis Convention Center should be ashamed of the food being served at their concession stands. It is just plain bad. And, because the company running them has a monopoly, there is absolutely no incentive for them to improve their product. If I order a cheesburger, I expect a hot burger with melted cheese on it. I do not expect... More

Went to the RV Show. Great place to show RV's, travel destinations and products to sell. If you want to eat, it gets rather expensive. While the RV show was going on, there were other events happening as well. A big place for lots of shows!

The Minneapolis Convention Centre has everything you'd expect from a high quality venue with some added perks. If you can't go to a winter conference in Florida or Hawaii, at least the Downtown Minneapolis Skyways make it so you don't have to go outside much. Much of downtown is connected directly via these skyways and the convention centre is no... More

I guess this is decent for a convention center. More utilitarian than pretty, but it does the job very much.
